Here’s a link to the Podcast I did to introduce a session titled Using Podcasts and Webinars to Create an Active Learning Classroom. The session was well-received, but I was amazed at how few participants had actually created podcasts or hosted webinars. The questions raised ranged from how often to use these strategies in online courses to the expense of conducting webinars. One important take-away for me is to investigate how to get closed captioning on audio/video that is produced.

I’m starting the process of (partially) flipping my classroom. Ideally, I’ll be using screen casting and pencasting in such a way that I have video of my usual “prefab” conferences. So far my plans look awesome in my head, and I keep trying to remember your advice to not rehearse *too* much.
