Phoenix NSTA Online Teaching and Learning Session

  I appreciate the participants who attended the Online Teaching and Learning Session at the Phoenix NSTA Regional conference. The questions asked and resulting discussion was rich and informative.  Some of the take-aways from the session include making online courses as good as or better than face-to-face courses; anticipating questions and problems students may encounter and addressing them early and often in the course; being available as the instructor; and having clear expectations of students.  I was asked about discussion rubrics and after the session ended, I remembered that the discussion rubrics are on the Online Discussion Post, so look here for them.
