Background: What you did in class were two investigations that resulted in creating a product that was more solid in nature that stayed behind after the reaction was over. Unlike the creation of a gas or a different liquid, there was a solid. This solid has a special name, which you will read about beginning on page 133 in your text.
Read pages 133-135. Take notes.
Carefully read EXAMPLE 4.3 and do EXERCISE 4.3.
